Since then, they have been providing comprehensive solutions in the field of air/sea/road freight as well as documentation, ship brokering and customs clearance services. Mr. Nils Christian Ovrum further adds, “Our philosophy has been always to have an open and clear communication with customers and suppliers, to be interested in our surroundings and to be updated on important topics in international trade. 2020 has been a tough year, so we look forward to easier conditions and better time soon so that we can once again move around freely and meet for good conversations and discussions, as we did before. “FreightViewer is different than other online marketplaces. We are proud to work with Conqueror in this project”

After establishing the partnership with Shipco, FreightViewer Department interviewed Morten Bach- Global Chief Commercial Officer at Shipco Transport- to analyse the current situation and the upcoming digital changes in logistics.

Speed in quoting is essential in a market where the difference between one quote or the other has become minimum. This means that, in some cases, who quotes the faster will have the shipment. This is one of the reasons why it’s so important to develop tools such as FreightViewer, states Mr. Morten Bach. He also adds that technology has disrupted in logistics and everything is happening amazingly fast, changing the landscape of logistics.

Mr. Bach also adds that the speed of the market is one of the other big changes in logistics, this is forcing traditional freight forwarders to change their way of thinking. They need to find the strategy to send shipments from A to B as fast as possible, achieve faster information sharing or better order management. And this can be done using different gateways than the traditional.

Under his point of view, it’s important to become global, reaching key partners and the right technology. Being part of a network, which offers a tool such as FreightViewer, means that small-medium companies will be able to become global, being much more competitive and, with the help of technology, being able to handle much more tasks along the process, optimizing their resources. Mr. Morten says: “With the pandemic the digitization process has been accelerated and those companies who didn’t have a great technology strategy have got caught by the new world-wide situation, not being able to serve their clients in the same way or the way they should”

Mr. Morten Bach pointed out the importance of visibility in logistics in order to take control over all shipments. According to his words “it’s essential to provide several options for a shipment to the client, if you don’t give various options to them, they will go somewhere else. Clients need what they need and if you don’t offer it, they will try another option”

To finalize, Mr. Morten states that, currently, there are two different sectors in logistics. Those that refuse to use digital services and those that only use digital resources. This means that we need to develop two different customer strategies, providing service to both groups, but never forgetting that digital trends will be extremely helpful in both strategies.

Group Futurista organizes together with Roambee the Webinar called “Minimizing risks in Supply Chain by creating autonomous Customer Service using RPA”

This webinar is happening real-time on 25th November 2020 at 12 Hrs GMT.  For those who are looking to attend the webinar can register for free here.

In the current COVID crisis, leading organizations are starting to pivot and shift from response to recovery. Real-time visibility has become a game changer for the complex supply chains however, the enterprises continue to lack true end-end supply chain visibility. In order to deal with disruptions and lack of information it has become evident that end-end visibility and digitalization are crucial. According to a study conducted by shipping and freight resources, about 60% of supply chain executives said that operations were significantly hampered due to the damage caused to the global supply chain during the COVID crisis.

Group Futurista have partnered with Roambee to solve this rising issue. Roambee is a global Internet of Things (IoT) data company that puts you in control of your Things on-demand — goods, equipment, or valuable assets — located indoors, outdoors, and in-transit.

Roambee is measurably impacting cost and risk for hundreds of enterprises in Manufacturing, Logistics & Supply Chain, Transportation, Finance, and Aerospace by addressing visibility holistically, from “sensing” to “making sense” to “acting upon” their data.

The cloud conference was conducted via an exclusive user-friendly videoconferencing platform created by the IT department of Conqueror, which allowed for a seamless videoconferencing experience. The Virtual Meeting began with a speech from Antonio Torres after which the members started with the one-to-one videoconferences with existing and future partners to deliberate on the prospects of collaboration in the future.

“This is my fourth virtual meeting this year and this is by far the best platform. Congratulations to the Conqueror team. It is really working perfectly and the event has been very well organized, with a support team that’s always willing to assist,” stated a Conqueror member from Portugal.

The Virtual Meeting was a one of a kind opportunity for the network members to assemble on one platform at one time to engage in constructive business discussions with fellow members with the purpose of securing a constant flow of new business opportunities. As stated by Antonio Torres, the President and Founder of Conqueror Freight Network, “In the light of the present circumstances we were not able to hold our in-person meeting at Doha and had to arrange for an online meeting that provided our members with a unique opportunity to establish long-term relationships and allowed us to keep them posted with the latest developments within the network. Being on the cloud, it also eliminated all the obstacles to participation, and enabled the members to engage in productive communications, strengthen their partnership ties and secure new businesses.”

The 2 days of the virtual conference also included an online workshop where the members were acquainted with all the latest updates to Conqueror’s member-exclusive quotation generating software –FreightViewer. With more than twenty years of experience in the logistics industry, Mr. Torres rightly points out that, “Our industry has gone through a veritable revolution and presently the most competent logistics companies have already implemented a digital strategy that enables real-time cargo tracking, transparent invoicing, automated quote generation and much more. This is exactly why independent freight forwarders need an online tool like FreightViewer at their disposal which will allow them to compete with the multinationals on a more equal footing.”

CQR Panama City is in the process of finalizing the logistical operations of a photovoltaic project in Panama

Since April 2019, they have been handling the movement of solar panels, special cables, transformers etc which were being imported from Asia, North America and Europe

Panama Soluciones Logisticas Int, Conqueror member in Panama City, Panama, is handling the last leg of a special project which commenced back in April 2019. They have transported over 2000 TEUs of cargo consisting of several items required for the photovoltaic plant which were flown in from Asia, Europe and North America to Panama. For this project, they coordinated with the shipping lines and airlines for transporting the containers and breakbulk units.

Other than logistics and transportation services, CQR Panama City also provided lifting and warehousing solutions to their client. The project necessitated the use of special heavy transport equipment with a capacity of up to 120 tons for land transportation. They also made use of a 500-ton crane for lifting and hoisting the shipment. The most challenging part of this project was the transportation and lifting of a 105-ton transformer of massive dimensions.

In the words of Luis Carlos Bustamante, the Manager of Panama Soluciones Logisticas, “The biggest challenge of this project was being able to create an efficient chain of communication for the proper management of the project. Delivery of 30 containers per day and handling the breakbulk shipments and air shipments within the budget and the deadline would not have been possible without the careful coordination among all the parties and the establishment of an adequate management and monitoring chain. I would request my partners to take a quick look at the video about our Project Cargo Division we have put together.”

Congratulations to Panama Soluciones Logisticas for successfully concluding this challenging project!
