CQR Tel Aviv, is proud to announce that it has successfully carried out the shipping of 35 X P&W Aircraft Engines from Israel to Kansas City, Missouri on behalf of Pratt and Whitney in the USA
Each engine was valued at USD 5,000,000 giving the total shipment value of USD175, 000,000.
The Jacky Line team was hired to collect the engines from the shipper, load by crane and stuff them onto 5×20’ Flat Racks and 15×40’ Flat Racks. They were also responsible for the lashing material, lashing and security, covering the cargo with tarpaulin covers as well as getting the shipment ready for the surveyor check and approval. And of course, let’s not forget the booking with the shipping line and securing large quantities of flats from Israel to the USA.
The successful shipping of project cargo like this proves that an independent freight forwarder can provide as good a service if not better than that of a multinational. Jacky Line certainly lives up to its reputation as an ‘independent force in shipping.’
Turkish Airlines has honoured CQR Delhi, with a Plaque of Appreciation for ‘…outstanding support in the 10 years of cooperation and for its special contribution to the business relationship.’
Three Aces Global was nominated for its continuous support and high revenue shipments to Turkish Airlines, past, present and future. Just 10 companies were honoured with the Plaque of Appreciation and the team were thrilled to be chosen, although surprised, as this was their first such nomination.
The award was presented to Director Mr Anmol Verma at a function in New Delhi in December 2013. “We are delighted to have been recognised by Turkish Airlines, this is a partnership which we have worked hard to build and maintain. We believe that this ‘Plaque of Appreciation’ demonstrates Three Aces capabilities,” explained Anmol Verma.
CQR Qingdao, was chosen by GOLDWIND, the largest supplier of wind turbines, in China to ship 5 MW wind driven generator blade from China to Antwerp
In total the team shipped 25 pieces, each measuring 55.2m x 3.4m x 3.8m by road to the port and then stowed the customized steel frames on the BreakBulk WL Shipping vessel. Luckily, they clip together so this was the easier part of the process.
This shipment was not without its challenges as Director Hattie Huang explained. “There were many considerations to be though about before this shipment could even leave its origin. For example we had to ensure each piece was secured and that each vehicle could travel down roads with other road users.”
In fact, the drivers became experts at the ‘3-point turn’, or should that be 4-5 point turn! “Yes, at some turnings the corners were more than challenging, however we were not beaten and we got each blade to the port on time,” Hattie said. “Although, the port was not that happy as they didn’t want to handle the blades at night, nevertheless we soldiered on.”
After 48 hours of work, their hard work paid off and the blades sailed off to Antwerp. “Although these shipments are quite mentally and physically taxing, we are specialists in this and this is the 6th time GOLDWIND has requested us,” explained Hattie.

Mexico’s Congress has approved a bill to end a 75-year state oil monopoly and generate as much as $20 billion in additional foreign investment annually. Secured with the required two-thirds majority in a lower-house vote yesterday, this is the country’s most significant economic reform since the North American Free Trade Agreement.
The bill will change Mexico’s charter to allow companies such as Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) and Chevron Corp. (CVX)to develop the largest unexplored crude area, after the Arctic Circle. Supporters say the overhaul could propel Mexico into the top five crude exporting countries while opponents say it will funnel resource wealth to foreign investors.
Brian Youngberg, a St. Louis-based analyst at Edward Jones & Co., which represents oil producers including Chevron and Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY) believes that the easing in restrictions will help Pemex revive output and crack vast shale formations. “Mexico’s deep-water prospects in the Gulf of Mexico would be attractive to Exxon and Chevron, while shale tracts would probably lure EOG Resources Inc. (EOG) and ConocoPhillips.”
With a boost in foreign investment by as much as $15 billion annually and potential economic growth by half a percentage point, JPMorgan Chase & Co. predicts that the overhaul could bring an additional $20 billion foreign direct investment as soon as 2015 and further strengthen the peso as the market absorbs the news.
Since joining a free-trade agreement with the U.S. and Canada in 1994, Mexico has become one of the world’s most open trading economies. “It’s an extraordinary moment,” said Tony Garza, former U.S. ambassador to Mexico. An adviser at law firm White & Case LLP in Mexico City said, “There’s potential to attract additional investment into shale and ultra-deep waters so that those resources can be exploited in a way that’s ultimately good for the country.”
Producers will be offered production-sharing contracts or licenses where they will own the oil pumped and are allowed to log crude reserves for accounting purposes. The energy overhaul has been ratified by a majority of Mexico’s 31 states, with the first contracts based on its model ready by the end of 2014.
