Conqueror agents will meet online to discuss new business opportunities in less than two months

Conqueror’s 2nd Virtual Meeting which will take place on 29th and 30th November will allow members to do their networking directly from their home or office

After the success of our 1st Online Conference, the Conqueror team is once again getting ready to organize its 2nd Virtual Meeting. Conqueror’s 2nd Virtual Meeting will take place on the 29th and 30th of November 2021. The online meeting of freight forwarders will lead to greater accessibility by doing away with all obstacles to participation.

The online one-to-one video conferences which will form the core of the event will lead to productive business talks among the participants.  Moreover, it will allow them to promote their business and pave the ground for several collaborative projects for the coming months. Delegates will get to take part in as many as 32 one-to-one video conferences with previously chosen partners. Additionally, the Conqueror team has ensured the accommodation of all delegates from the different time zones.

Like the previous meeting, this conference will also take place on a special platform designed for a seamless conferencing experience.  This user-friendly meeting platform will ensure an impeccable arrangement of the online meetings according to the agenda of the members. Apart from the one-to-one meetings, members will also participate in an online FreightViewer workshop. Conqueror’s FreightViewer coordinator Andrea Martin will provide online demonstrations about the latest features added to our quote generation platform.

Conqueror Madrid moves to a new office space near the airport

Their office relocation was mainly because of their need to move as close as possible to the cargo terminal of Madrid Airport

Conqueror Nouakchott moves 189 units of a project cargo shipment from UAE to Mauritania

This breakbulk shipment that was required for constructing a military hospital was moved via sea freight

Acconnage Consignation Transit SA, Conqueror member in Nouakchott, Mauritania, delivered 189 units of a breakbulk cargo meant for the construction of a military hospital for Covid-19 patients. Conqueror Nouakchott was in charge of the entire logistics chain of this complex shipment.

They used 24 TEU containers for moving the 189 units of cargo. The military hospital under construction is a donation from the government of the UAE. In the words of Mr. Khalil Chouaib, the Country Manager of ACT Shipping, “To begin with, we are very happy to have pulled off this shipment successfully.  Moreover, we are glad to have played a part in fostering good relations between the Mauritania and UAE governments.”

They moved the containers from Jebel Ali Port, UAE, to Nouakchott Port, Mauritania. The shipment reached the consignee’s destination right on time. “Lastly, I would like to add that the ACT team is proud to assist the Ministry of Health of Mauritania during these difficult times,” adds Mr. Chouaib.

Conqueror Hangzhou moves 51 temperature-sensitive shipments of nucleic acid tests

As a company specializing in international air cargo services, they are perfectly suited for the regular handling of temperature-sensitive medical cargoes

Domax Logistics Co Ltd, Conqueror member in Hangzhou, China, has moved several shipments of PPE and temperature-sensitive cargoes via air freight. To begin with, they moved several batches of shipments of nucleic acid test kits with dry ice and coolant (blue ice), from Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing, China, to Ethiopia, South Africa, Italy, Egypt, Bangladesh and Austria. To move these shipments they partnered with China Southern Airlines, Air China, Emirates, and Ethiopian Airlines.

In addition, Conqueror Hangzhou also moved large shipment of oxygen concentrators from Shenzhen, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou to Kenya, India, Myanmar and so on.

Conqueror Cape Town moves 2.6 million Kg of perishable cargo

This road freight shipment was moved from South Africa to Angola via reefer trucks

Afrigo Global Logistics, Conqueror member in Cape Town, South Africa, moved perishable cargo from Cape Town to Luanda, Angola, over the extended lockdown period. They made use of 15 meter reefer trucks able to load up to 30 pallets each. The weight of the cargo moved over this period exceeded  2.6 million Kg. It took an average of 15 days to complete one cycle per truck over a distance of 7700 km. As one of the leading independent freight forwarders in Cape Town, they have vast experience in perishable logistics.

These shipments were complicated, since they had to deal with movement restrictions due to closed borders. As stated by Karel-Jan Nothnagel, the Managing Member of Afrigo Global, “In Africa, delivery takes time and one has to plan for every delay. Additionally, your staff needs to have patience and understand the importance of timely delivery of the goods. The bad road condition, the volume and time-sensitive nature of the shipment and the long distance were indeed challenging. Nevertheless, our fleet traveled 745,000 Km and delivered the cargo right on time.”

Conqueror Ashdod handles the movement of 20 ISO tanks

They were in charge of every aspect of this shipment including handling, operations, and customs clearance

Caspi Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearing Agents Ltd, Conqueror member in Ashdod, Israel, has recently carried out the movement of 10 x ISO tanks containing unique material. The cargo was moved to Haifa and Ashdod, Israel. “Our team impeccably handled, cleared and operated this shipment. Moreover, we also took charge of cleaning the tanks and storage for usage,” says Mr. Oren Cohen, the Business Development Manager of Caspi Freight Forwarding.

The shipment consisted of chemicals, ORGAL P 6820, and vinyl-acrylic copolymer emulsion in water. Additionally, to move this shipment they made use of a trailer with crane. “Perhaps the most challenging aspect of this project was to clear and deliver it on time due to the urgency of the cargo for the global industry. We look forward to successfully execute many such complex shipments to provide the most seamless service experience for our customers and partners,” adds Mr. Cohen.

Conqueror Qingdao moves a sea freight shipment of a propeller with a weight of over 58 Mt

They moved the massive breakbulk cargo via a Cosco Shipping vessel from Hamburg, Germany, to Qingdao, China

Kwise Logistics Co Ltd, Conqueror member in Qingdao, China, has successfully moved a breakbulk cargo from Hamburg to Qingdao. The shipment consisted of a 58 Mt propeller which had a dimension of 880 x 860 x 200 cm. As a veteran ocean freight service provider, they arranged for port to door movement of this shipment thereby providing end-to-end logistics solution.

They were responsible for several aspects of the project. This included vessel booking, and coordinating with the port authority to discharge the propeller. Additionally, they were also in charge of lashing/securing the cargo on the truck and delivering it to the consignee’s premises. The odd size of the cargo posed significant hurdles which were overcome successfully.

As stated by Richard OIuyang, the General Manager of Kwise Logistics, “Due to the massive size of the propeller, our team had to dismantle and raise the wires at the gate of Qingdao port. We immediately restored the dismantled gate and wires after the propeller passed by. Moreover, we also had to dismantle the telephone poles and raise the wires while delivering the shipment at the consignee’s premises. Our experienced team managed to pull off the job perfectly and send the shipment right on time.”

Conqueror member in Odessa delivers the construction materials for repairing the Ukrainian Station located in the Antarctica

The Akademik Vernadsky station is located in the Antarctica and is used for geological and oceanographic studies

Mitridat Odessa, a Conqueror member in Odessa, Ukraine, has been chosen to participate in the delivery of the construction materials needed for repairing the buildings of the Ukrainian Antarctic Station. The station called Akademik Vernadsky is located at Marina point on Galindez Island, in the Antarctic. For the 26th year in a row, the National Ukrainian Antarctic Center has sent a team of specialists who stay at the station throughout the year. Their task is to conduct planned geological and geophysical, oceanographic and hydrometeorological studies. Additionally, they are also responsible for measuring biological, geo-spatial and other indicators, and ensuring the work of the station itself.

In the process of transportation, Conqueror member in Odessa has had to face some difficulties caused by coronavirus restrictions at transshipment ports. Nevertheless, despite all the obstacles, they established relations with the largest sea container lines. CQR Odessa dispatched the cargo from the port of Odessa on time. The shipment arrived at the southernmost port of Chile, Punta Arenas. From there, after reloading, it went straight to the research station.

Currently, the Akademik Vernadsky station is actively working on repair and modernization. The modernization was planned last year, but postponed due to COVID-19. In March 2021, during the rotation of polar explorers, the National Ukrainian Antarctic Center was finally able to send the necessary construction materials to the station. As the company states, “We are proud to have successfully delivered the 20-foot container shipment needed to modernize the station. Thanks to the well-coordinated actions of our team we delivered the cargo undamaged.  Moreover, it reached just in time, before the onset of the polar winter.”
