This edition will offer you an insight into our upcoming Annual Meeting in 2019
We are pleased to announce that the September edition of Conqueror’s quarterly newsletter has been published and can now be viewed on our website. This edition of our newsletter is packed with essential information about Conqueror’s 8th Annual Meeting to be held in Phuket in 2019 along with other important info about the network members and interesting snippets from the supply chain industry.
We have also dedicated 2 pages on the key strategies to improve your networking within Conqueror, so that you get to make the most of your membership. As you all know, Conqueror’s new online tool is going to be launched real soon and therefore we have included a special feature on FreightViewer- our upcoming freight rate management software which will enormously expedite your work processes.
Agents from Conqueror, the 2nd largest freight forwarding network in global coverage worldwide, will meet in Bali from 6th to 8th May 2018 to meet face to face and build strong business partnerships with current and potential partners from other parts of the world.
Each agent will have two days of up to32 one-to-one meetings. In addition to these meetings, there will be a welcome cocktail party, a Gala dinner and opportunities in between to meet, discuss, and do business throughout the event.
The Annual Meeting is one of the most important keys for freight forwarders to compete with the largest multinationals. It is through this that CQR members come together in one place at one time, reducing expense and time spent away from the office. Instead of travelling to country after country and city after city to meet the same amount of people and exchange the same amount of business, you travel to just one. Conqueror’s 7th Annual Meeting is not to be missed!
Registration is now open, so all agents are invited to register here.
A record number of agents from the world’s only truly exclusive network Conqueror Freight Network convened in Abu Dhabi to renew, rekindle and build strong business partnerships
Delegates representing 141 cities across 70 countries made their way to Abu Dhabi for the 5th Annual Conqueror Meeting. “These meetings are vital to both the success of each member as well as the network as a whole,” said Conqueror Managing Director, Antonio Torres.
“Success in the freight forwarding business is in part down to who you know. If agents aren’t meeting partners regularly and building lasting cooperative relationships, a company should expect to be in dire straits in just a few years,” he continued.
“My business it too important to place its fate in a company that I barely know anything about. A website and a few phone calls and emails can only tell me so much. Only by meeting face to face can I have a true sense of an agent’s character and modus operandi,” said one delegate.
It is clear that delegates have found the 5th Annual Conqueror Meeting worthwhile as over 1900 one to one meetings were booked by delegates ahead of the event and every moment in between is being taken up with unscheduled spontaneous business opportunities.
Another delegate had this to say, “This is my annual opportunity to promote our business on an international platform with agents all under one roof at one time. I can’t afford to sit back and relax; every moment, every conversation is an opportunity. We all understand that we can’t beat the multinationals alone; it is a cooperative effort that will enable us to ‘Conqueror the world.”
“Although it’s 5 years since our first meeting, the enthusiasm and commitment of our agents hasn’t dwindled. They return again and again with the same focus and determination as that of our first get together,” explained Mr Torres.
“As well as auditing all applicants prior to entry, we also require agents to have a cooperative spirit. I believe it is this commitment which ensures the success of the network as members meet and work with companies who are as committed as themselves,” said Antonio Torres.
THAILAND – WORLDWIDE – Bangkok played host this year to the 4th annual meeting of the Conqueror Freight Network, a global alliance of freight forwarders which saw 113 member agents from 57 countries come together for a chance to meet and talk with an eye to developing business
With a combined turnover of over $2 billion and 19,000 employees the 2,500+ one to one meetings on offer gave ample opportunity to catch up with old associates whilst developing new friendships. Founder Antonio Torres commented:
“Our annual meeting is the most important element in our triad of tools for boosting the business volume of our members; the others being city-exclusivity, like the multinationals, and cooperation. We believe in promoting good communication and healthy financial relationships between members. Our [new] request tool will simplify the management and tracking of rate requests between members and the payment monitoring system will allow agents to add, view and edit details of open invoices.”
This last comment was in relation to Conqueror’s latest tools to assist members in their daily operations, an online quotation request tool and a payment monitoring system, both of which received favourable comments from visiting delegates. The atmosphere at the gathering was doubtless helped by the location for this year’s event, the five star Plaza Athenee hotel near Ploenchit BTS skytrain station.
The Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok provided the location for the 2nd Annual Conqueror Meeting, where 115 agents from 50+ countries gathered to fan the flame of co-operation which burns bright at the heart of Conqueror Freight Network
Conqueror is a solid alliance in which carefully-selected independent freight forwarders in each major city in the world co-operate reciprocally and securely to expand their businesses, reduce costs and risks, and compete on more equal terms against the largest international companies.
At the opening of the meeting, Managing Director, Antonio Torres, congratulated members on their efforts to work co-operatively to serve clients globally and overcome client perceptions that independent forwarders are not equipped to provide a truly worldwide service.
“Co-operation is one important element in our strategy for boosting the business volume of our members; another is our city-exclusivity, like the multinationals, and the third and most important is our annual meeting. As you can see, members are making the most of their individual meetings as well as competing for each other’s attention away from them,” explained Mr Torres.

“As a direct result of meeting our fellow members last year, we saw a marked increase in turnover and I firmly believe that the same will happen again this year; I already have many new leads to follow-up,” said one satisfied member.
